Villa Ndalem Dhamartiwi

First impression that I feel when I was arrived at this place is warm, unique, quiet and pleasent place as a rest area for holiday. You can feel a different athmosphere compare to other resort villa in Bali which is mixing of two indonesia culture bali, and java, eventhough the balinese ethnic still strong attached to the ornament and the building.

After entering the main gate (which is made of wood and iron impressing as a tough and unique gate and there are statues of head of Wisnu in the left and right side of the Gate), The car park infront of high tower, around 10 metres which is Water Tower but it's nicely camouflage to become balinese Tower usually name as 'Bale Bengong' ( a point of view), with all the ornament from terracotta stone, and balinese carving stone.

At the right side there is javanese building call Rumah Joglo with Java (jepara) wooden carving, complete with the gong (one of javanese instrument), and bale-bale that can be used as sitting place, or even open air sleeping place. This Joglo house become the receptionist place of the villa. While waiting to be placed, we can lay down and sit at the bale bale.

The left side, there are the villas, that consits of 4 bungalows, which are composite of javanese and balinese ethnic. Not just the building shape, but also the wooden carving, furniture, and all ornament coming from java or bali culture.

Each of bungalows has a unique design taken from both culture (either bali or java). 3 bungalows consists of 2 rooms, only 1 bungalow has only one room (usually taken for honeymooner).

Infront of each villa, there is place for sitting down, even for laying down or can be used as living room with balinese and javanese athmosphere.

Infront of the bungalows row, there is a swimming pool, and one building that can be used for meeting room, and dining room. The meeting room can accomodate up to 20 people only.

These villas was built as resort place, also can be used for strategic meeting, honeymooner, golfer, or even very nice place for a writer to digging up more inspiration.

The location is near Tanah lot (around 3 km) and around 30 minutes from Kuta Beach. This place also near to the famous Nirwana golf park in bali.
The nearest beach is Pererenan beach, which can be reached by 10 minutes walk.

I was very enjoy during my stay there, and my recomendation stay at villa1, with balinese ethnic, even provided by balinese bed, furniture, and a nice bath tub.

Improvement

there are also several improvement that can be executed such as, put additional light at the garden, so it will be more light up during the nite time. Because of the location that quite far from Airport (40 minutes), it will be better if the villa can provide the pickup service to and from the airport.

Price

With the economical price around USD70, this place can be a very good choice to some one that want to spend the vacation in quite, and peacefull.

How to get there

If you take taxi from airport or from Kuta beach, head up to Tanah lot through Seminyak Road, and than to Kerobokan area. Still heading up to Tanah Lot direction, and passing 3 times cross road, you will find a Balinese Banjar at the left side, turn left, around 2 km from there at the left side there's the place.
